Paxial Art - (NVC) Non violent communication by Marc Avanzo

« Paxial » is a word built in reflection to the expression « martial art ». While martial art refers to Mars, the Roman god of war, Paxial refers to Pax, the goddess of Peace.

As much as Martial arts, is considered as a spectacular practice requiring self discipline and inner control to enhance one’s resources to defeat an opponent, I see Paxial Art as an inner practice that requires to get in touch with one’s own power, emotions and needs in order to anchor one’s sense of empowerment as well as one’s sense of connection within and with the world.

Paxial art is my way to brand NVC practices along with some other approaches that help an individual be a powerful agent of change in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world, by contributing authentically, courageously, powerfully yet respectfully to the society around them.

On the top of that, NVC gives practical tools as well to interact, listen and express oneself in a grounded, respectful, empathic and open way.

The underlying philosophy and principles of NVC combined with its practical tools make this practice a « must learn » for all human being, at any age, who want to free themselves from limiting beliefs, learn to respect themselves and the others, and interact in a powerful and connected way with people around them.

About Marc Avanzo

International Leadership Consultant, Executive Coach & Transformational Facilitator Operating at Group and Individual Levels.

French national based partly in Sarajevo and partly in Lyon with language fluency in French, English and German.

Marc's professional life started in the marketing field for telecom providers, both in the UK and in France, before operating a radical career shift after his MBA at INSEAD.

Before completing his MBA, he studied Electrical Engineering at Grande École Supélec in Paris, and the Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany.

He moved to India in 2009 to become the Head of the Staff Development and Learning Department for the South Eastern Asia Regional Office of WHO, but soon left to hone his skills as a leadership practitioner.

His hobbies include playing musical instruments and jamming with musicians, just as much as he enjoys Yoga to keep his inner balance.
